Hopi Wooden Rasp,  Circa 1900 Painted with a fugitive white and red band along the sides. Remnants of blue paint. Black paint in the rasping carved grooves. Wonderful early example of a Hopi musical instrument. These were normally used with a gourd and a plain rasping stick.
