Plains Horn Club

Plains Horn War Club, circa late 19th Century.  Rawhide wrapped wooden hand and hafted with buffalo horns. War clubs were made of different materials (stone, horn and metal).  At the top is a dangling slat painted black wrapped in dyed grass in red, yellow and black. (dyed grass was sometimes used instead of quills)
