Western Apache Fiddle

Western Apache Fiddle

Western Apache Fiddle  tsii’ edo’a’ti (Wood that sings)  Circa 1885-90. Painted Agave Stalk.  Length – 18″  Largest Diameter – 5″. Really nice carved and painted tuner.

I’ve owned at least 3 larger highly decorated ones by the famous Apache fiddle Amos Gustina that were made in the early 20th cent. and several smaller ones, but this is the oldest one by far. and painted with blue and red paint.  Commonly used with a bow and horsehair strings.  Custom Stand.
