19th Century Crow Beaded Rifle Scabbard

Circa 1870-80

Dimensions: Length – 57″.Width – 6 1/4″

This is a great 19th century Crow beaded rifle scabbard that is in very good condition.

Early seed beads sewn to native tanned hide and adorned with red wool trade stroud cloth.

By the size and shape of this scabbard it would have held a trade musket.

Long hide fringe gives this wonderful piece an elegant look, and of course, the Crow man would be sitting on the back of a horse with this scabbard across his lap and it had to be a sight to see.
