Plains Indian Child’s Fully Beaded Moccasins

Plains Indian Child’s/Infant’s Fully Beaded Moccasins.

Culture is most likely Sioux

Circa 1885-1895

Dimensions – Length- 4 1/4″, Width – 2 1/4″

Early seed beads in red white heart, white, green and black. Very soft native tanned leather.  Sinew sewn.

This type of moccasin was usually worn in ceremonies and not “Burial Moccasins” as they were erroneously called.

Wonderful condition, as they were probably collected in early times and show little use, but also because they were worn by an infant.
